Symmetry in NatureStudents explore symmetry by examining natural forms. They look at the Kunstformen in Natur of Erst Haeckel, and the flower and skull paintings of Georgia O'Keefe to see how artists used the symmetry of natural forms to give their compositions balance.Students create their own symmetric images of a natural form by drawing half of a figure in oil pastel, then folding and rubbing/transferring their linework.
